VINCENT ROSSMEIER
Founder and CEO, NOIR Consulting
I’m Vincent Rossmeier, founder and CEO of NOIR Consulting. I began NOIR to share my passion for using writing, design, and data to make inherently complex topics accessible. I view my work as communication and translation — I believe that even the most complicated subject matter can and should be understood by a wide audience when conveyed in an engaging manner using design and data to enhance the written content.
Since launching NOIR Consulting in 2017, I have worked with an array of clients from a variety of industries in many capacities:
Content marketing and tech writing for a variety of tech, big data, and cybersecurity clients.
Blogging and content marketing for Radion Health, a level funded insurance company.
Education research for ILO Group, an education non-profit focused on promoting women and people of color into leadership positions in education.
I have worked with our full-time designer, Kate Simon, for years, and we bring on other additional talented people as needed.
I have over 15 years of writing, design, and research experience in a variety of industries. My career began in journalism — I received a Master’s Degree in Journalism from New York University and I then worked as an editor, writer, and web manager at publications such as Salon.com, newyorker.com, and The Brooklyn Rail.
In 2009, after covering the presidential election, I left New York and moved to New Orleans, where I have lived ever since. After the move, I transitioned into public policy. I worked as a researcher at the public policy think tank the Bureau of Governmental Research, the policy director at a youth-focused non-profit, and as the Chief of Staff for a New Orleans City Council member.
For the past decade, I have been the Policy Director for the Cowen Institute at Tulane University, an organization dedicated to monitoring public education in New Orleans. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in History from the University of Virginia, as well as a Post-Bac in Graphic Design from Tulane University’s School of Professional Advancement.
